OK guys, how about no one sell any decent D10's for awhile. I just got this ShoBud S10 from Jordan, and I'm already getting the itch to learn C6 too.
Give me a few months break, so I can save up for your D10.

Daryl:
I parted with my Derby SD-10 4X5 for a Mullen D-10 9X7 for that exact reason. my wife bought me the Hal and Buddy live at Bell Cove vidio, and to see what those two can do on the C-6th side, set me back for life. I've made some nice progress in a short time, but boy do I ever have a long way to go. I probably will never come close to that level. but it is fun. God Bless.

Daryl-You don't need a D10 to play both tunings, if you got 5 pedals and 5 knee levers minimum. The "Lean and Mean" tuning will do it and check out Bud Carter's S12 tuning with 5 and 5. E9 and B6 both.Plus you have those 2 extra Bass strings....

John,
I got your email, nice looking guitar, but I don't think ornery is the word to use... hahaha
I don't think the Bud will be sold, heck I still have the Carter Starter too. I have a tendency to collect guitars like an old woman grows mustach hairs. [This message was edited by Daryl Stogner on 12 August 2004 at 09:51 AM.] |

Hey Farris,
You'd better tie that steel down and yourself to a palm tree back there...
Man looks like you guys are catching it!

I'd sure like to thank y'all for honoring my little request. I've received several emails with photos of D10's and an offer on an Emmons D10 9/5, that I can't resist!
You guys were not being helpful at all!

I could do that, seems to me Texas is about the best place to be for country music these days. But I don't think Arizona has yet passed any PSG laws except the one requiring steel players to remain on stage during breaks. Fred Justice would know more about that though....
