I'm an E9 player of about 15 years.

I've had my Carter D-10 for a while now and still have never tried to learn anything on the C neck. Anyone want to post something simple to get me started? I've never even tuned that neck.

Just a simple chord progression or melody would be fine. Assume that I know nothing about C6.

Gary,

Get Buddy's Basic C6. You can learn positions, progressions, pockets for improvising and songs like "Sentimental Journey" and "I'm So Lonesome, I Could Cry".

Hi Gary.
I'll send you a good tuning for the other neck.I'll make you a cd to practice with. The neck IS NOT hard to under stand at all.It also has a lever that lowers ,just like the D lever.A (Maj 7th) sound. So if you use the D lever on E ninth, it'll be a snap to play the C 6th neck.Whats nice about the C 6th neck is that the (E 9th neck (A) pedal (or the 6th note) is built right in the tuning on the other neck.
I'll be active on the Cd after Dallas.

I'm in the same shape but 13 years in. C6 has made a great arm rest. Now that I'm getting to that point, I'm wondering if I want to do C6 or go to E9 ext 12 strings. Any suggestions?
