This is the great Andy Cummings tune with all those wonderful chords:

Waikiki

If this doesn't get you in the mood for a quick trip to Maui nothing will! Enjoy.

Craig.

Craig,

Thanks for the Hawaiian arrangement of "Waikiki".

It is one of my favorites. I have played it on my steel guitar often in Waikiki.

Hawaiian tunes are among my favorites.

Would you be interested in doing some old Hawaiian numbers like from King's Hawaiian books, and others? I can send some to you if you don't have them and are interested.
Just let me know.

Thanks for all your efforts.

Aloha,
Don

Hi, Don.

First of all let me say that I really appreciate all your encouragement. This has been a "love-project": I'm having a blast putting together these tabs!

I appreciate your offer re the Kings books but I have my copy of the Hal Leonard Favorite Hawaiian Songs book. I was thinking Monday night I'd chart Red Sails in the Sunset.

I like tunes that have lots of "tune"... you know what I mean. I doubt if I'll get much into the really slow stuff but I love the uptempo ones.

Craig.

BTW - does anyone besides me get Tiny Bubbles and Pearly Shells confused? I realize they are different tunes but they tend to merge in my mind.

Craig ..I love 'Red Sails'...would really appreciate that one if you do it. Another (same era) that takes me 'there' .. is 'Harbor Lights' ..Any chance you might do that one as well? Thanks so much for all your delicious work and considerable talent .. Dan

Craig,

There are a lot of true authentic Hawaiian tunes that are upbeat.

I would say as many upbeat tunes as with slow tempo.

Again thanks for all your work.

Aloha,
Don
