Gentleman,
I'm new to Playing Steel (About 4 Mts) and really am working hard and enjoying it. I have some Tab on Amazing Grace but really don't enjoy this Tab, just wondering if anyone can help me out on some different style of Tab on Amazing Grace or where to find it? I do appreciate all the help!
Sincerely,
Bobby. |

Bobby,
Send me your snail mail address and I will send you the left-handed Norwegian version of this great old gospel song. It's done up in E9th is that's what you are looking for.
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!

The Dewitt Scott`s Deluxe pedal steel book has an easy enough version of it. In fact that book is a regular treasure trove of easy to play songs. Jim |

Bobby, if you send me your snail mail address I will send you a copy of a version I tabbed out. It has single string first and double string the second time around. Good luck. Amazing Grace was one of the first songs I learned. I never get tired of playing it. |

Bobby, Here is an Intor to Amazing Grace that I made up and tabbed. It is tabbed in the Key of "D" for E9th, but can be translated in to whatever key you want. It might add to the Version that Erv is sendig you. Hope that it helps you.
Amazing Grace (Intro)
Key of D E9th

Thanks Gentleman with all your help, nothing more frustrating than trying to learn this Steel Business and finding people not willing to help. This has not been the case with me and my encounters, people have been willing to help me in anyway they can, what has been great news is how many ways Amazing Grace can be played as well as any song, that's just awesome. I have a few versions now, but my ultimate goal is to learn to play by ear and my own style for now I can still only play by Tab... and I don't want to get stuck playing Tab... only. Thanks again Gentleman with all your advice and Help. Erv, I received the Tab... snail mail and much appreciate your efforts, I promise I wont forget you. Many Blessings to you all, Bobby. |
