I love to play gospel music on the pedal steel. Over the years I've worked up quite a bit of gospel tab. If you play gospel music or would like to, I am going to be offering a free gospel tab every month. I will send it to you via snail mail so will need your mailing address. The gospel song this month is "Amazing Grace". I've sent it to quita a few of you pedalers already but maybe some more of you would like it. Also, this month I'm including a "50 dollar" bill.

One fellow responded that he is going to be sending me a 50 dollar bill (I think it's from the utility company). I'll just pass that along to you when I get it!

"Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto Him with the psaltery & an instrument of ten strings" Psalm 33:2
(I wonder is this is E9th or C6th)

I'm glad you got your copy and like it.
I'm not a professional by any means.
I just try to do the best with what little talents the good Lord has given me.
Being a left-handed Norwegian doesn't help much either!
Uff-Da!

Erv,
Put me on your list. Am running low on ideas for the church. Are the tabs E9th or C6th? Doesn't really matter.
Many thanks.......

Les:
The tab is in E9th. I am going to start working on my C6th neck and there are some gospel songs that would really sound nice in this tuning. But it will be a while before I come up with any C6th tab.
I will get "Amazing Grace" in the mail for you today.

Thanks Roy:
I don't have the sound files with my tab but they do include the chords, musical notation and the lyrics. I like to include the notes on my tab. If you play it long enough you really get to see how everything is tied together. I think that I've got about 50 gospel songs tabbed out for the E9th.

You'll just have to be patient! I think next month my tab will be for "Beyond the Sunset". This gospel song has quite a history a lot of country artists used to do this song along with a recitation. I can still remember Red Foley doing it. I think his recitation was "If you go first and I remain". Very touching.

Guy:
Happy to hear that you received your tab.
I stick real close to the melody on my tabs so they should be able to recognize the song.
By the way, I prepare my tabs in the key that the song is usually played in as found in church hymnals. The key is usually standardized in the various hymnals. Sometimes the key is kind of strange like 5 flats? But on the steel, we can play in any key and the guitar player can always use a capo.
