If you print this out take a pencil-marker and mark ACROSS the strings
the major intervals in one color and the minor intervals in another color.
It will make things easier to see/remember.

I'm not playing C6 yet, but I'm going to print this off anyway. It looks like a good way to get an idea about what the basics of C6 would be like. I'm still wondering if I dare split my time between two necks, go to an extended E9, or just stick with E9. Thanks for taking the time to post this stuff, Bengt. Chord substitution
How a 3 or 4 note chord can sound as a different chord.
( somebody else has to play the low Root note )
Notes of a Cmaj13 chord

If you harmonize a Major scale in triads (3 note chords)
You will find three types of chords.
Major triads, minor triads and a diminished triad.
Here is the structure for the three chords.
All shown with a C root note for easy comparison.

Instead of P5+P6 for the dim chord you can use P8
only this dim chord will be a halftone higher.
Harmonizing the Major scale in 4note chords.
There is 4 different types.
Major7th, Dominant7th, minor7th and minor7b5th

Compare with the triads above and you will see that the
three highest notes of the Cmaj7 is a minor triad only
the root of this triad is 4 notes higher than the Cnote.
That is what you do with chord substitution.
The three highest notes of the C7 is a diminished triad.
The three highest notes of the Cm7 is a major triad.
The three highest notes of the Cm7b5 is a minor triad.

C6:an finns där sedan flera år, men det är ändå så oherrans svårt att komma igång med den - till nu. Ändå har jag en singel-14 universal, så jag behöver inte ens byta bräda.
