Mac: I can't tab it but will try to explain
how Buddy Charleton taught me to do it when
I was playing S-10.
Key Db
Drop your E's. No pedals. At the second
fret play strings 7, 6, 5, 4. When you get to
string 4 you bounce the bar on the string and
then hit 5. That gets you started on the
melody.
This is a very difficult
technique and it gets harder when you
go to the IV chord (everything the same
except you bounce the bar at 1st fret.)
I haven't experimented much now that I have
C6 neck, but when I did I didn't find an
easier way to do it.
Another alternative is to buy a banjo,
learn to play it like Don Reno and do
his incredibly great version of the song.

Hey- thanks for the linx- This will be a great help.
Rod, just the advise I was looking for, lowering those E's was just the trick. Getting that hammer on while listening to Buddy E. Is making it all come together.
Thanks for your input. Tell Buddy, he ain't got nothing to worry about for a long long time. Sure gained a lot more respect for his playing though.
