Gentlemen,
Reading over your comments about D-8's and T-8's. I was thinking of investing in a Remington Steel T-8 since the Fenders are hard to come by. I would be playing strickly Hawaiian music for solos and fill in background vocals. What tuning would be best for all 3 necks or can I get by with just a D-8?
Thanks,

Hi Oscar,
The general consensus of opinion for Hawaiian playing on a 3 neck guitar , would be .... C6, E13 and B11th.
exactly what versions of these tunings you use would be up to you , but if it was me I'd choose C6 with an "E" as the top note,
E13 with a "G#" on top, and B 11th in the following configuration, E, C#, A, F#, D#, B, A, B.
The arrangement of the tunings on the knecks (For me) would be, nearest neck E13, middle neck C6 and top neck B11th.
Hope this is of some use to you.

I have a Remington T-8...they are very fine guitars. Your right about the Fenders being more difficult to find. And you're investing in a custom built guitar, it wouldn't be much more to get Herb to make a 4 neck. I almost did, but only had enough $$ at the time for a triple. Now, I kind of wish I had splurged and went with 4. If you did, you'd probably have something very unique, as I don't think Herb's made many, if any at all.
By the way, I tune mine to:
Neck 1: E,C,A,G,E,C#,C,A (C6/A7th)
Neck 2: E,C#,A,F#,E,C#,A,G (A13)
Neck 3: E,C#,A,E,C#,A (A major) Sometimes I retune to E and E7th
The only drawback to a multi-neck guitar is they're not very portable...the T-8 is heavy enough, but a 4 neck weighs a ton. Even Herb said he used to hate to lug them around.
But since I have a lap steel also, It would be nice to have a 4 neck for a table steel.
