There's an old Mr Dave interview here: http://www.pulsatingdream.com/omaha_rainbow1.html
which is pretty interesting - he talks about bakelite Ricks, pedal steel etc... There are one or two mistakes, which probably come from the transcription rather than DL (e.g. Freddie Roulette plays a 7th tuning, not a 6th)... there is also a "bad word"... but it's still good stuff...

About nine years ago,i had my Bigsby stolen out of a van at the western swing society up
in Sac.
A few days later i was back down in orange county playing a show, and this freind of mine Roseanna said to me my dad heard about your guitar getting stolen, and he wants to give you a rickenbaker triple neck, if you can use it.
I nearly fell of my bar stool.
So the next evening i drive over to her house,i had no idea her dad is dave lyndley.
Words can not describe what a nice guy he
was, the guitar he gave me was killer .
I coudnt beleive he was realy giving me the guitar i kept saying are you sure, and he said look you got your stuff ripped off,and i dont use it and you need it.
He also was way into Murphey and speedy.

Ray
The guitar was missing for about two years, and some friends of mine spotted a shady character at a vintage guitar show in san jose, trying to sell it.
To cut a long story short i got it back.
I think i had it another four years, and then we had a baby and lost a car at the same time.
So something had to give.
Glendale isnt bagdad so i coundnt sell my wife.
Ron middlebrook who has centerstream publishing ownes it now, and he was even kind enough to give me a year to by it back.
