I'm restoring a Fender Dual Eight for a buddy of mine but getting into it, I have found that one of the pickups doesn't work at all. This particular steel has the rectangular pickups. Can anyone recommend someone, preferably on the west coast, who has experience with rewinding this type of pickup?

Thank you,

Bob

P.S. Should this post be in the electronics forum??? (Sorry)

Lindy Fralin rewound one of my Dual 8 pickups and did an outstanding job - in fact, the rewind sounds noticably better than the original. On the west coast, I know Jason Lollar's work is spoken of very highly. www.fralinpickups.com www.lollarguitars.com

Great, John. Hope all is well.

I've used Fralin before for steel guitar pickups; and, yes, he does excellent work. I'm on the west coast and this is sort of a rush job. I was wondering if there was anybody else out my way (somewhat nearby) who also does excellent work and can turn this around quickly.

Thanks!

Jason Lollar does fantastic work, is on the west coast and while I can't commit him to it, he's always done a pretty quick job for me.
