I know I'm very early! But I would like to pale my trip a little. I will be in the Dallas/ Ft Worth area from 3.march to 12.march I will certainly be at the TGSA Jamboree from March 6-9. Where else can I hear, see and enjoy bands with steel. I would love to learn something. I have purchased a steel which I will receive at the Jamboree! Thanks for your input!

Hi Andy- I am scheduled on Saturday March 8th at The Longhorn Saloon in the Ft Worth Stockyards. Will be playing with Greg Gibbs. Greg and I are both old bandmates of drummer, Joe Wayne Campsey and Bassman/Singer Jim Snider. I’m sure you remember them both from one of their tours over to Switzerland? Hope to see you then. Randall

Hi Earl
thanks for the info, unfortunately I will be at the Steel Guitar jamboree on Saturday, March 8th. too bad!

Randall,
I really appreciated your reply. I would love to come, but just... there will be the big steel show! Maybe we can meet up otherwise? Say hello to Joe Wayne Campsey and Jim Snider. I'd love to see them again too!!! Is there live music on March 3/4/5 or 9/10/11 in the Dallas/ ft Worth area? My favorite thing would be to listen and watch a pedalsteeler!!!

Andy - Landon Dodd and the Dancehall Drifters play at Li'l Red's Longhorn Saloon (same place Randall Palmore will be on March 12th) from 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm every Wednesday. CW Sturgeon is there from 3:00-7:00 every Sunday. The Longhorn features only traditional country music.

Hi Andy, come see us Friday 3-7-25 from 7:30 to 10:30 at The Frisco Railyard, an outdoor beer garden 15-20 min north of the location of the Dallas show. I play steel in The Country Legends Band, we have a great setlist full of steel guitar. Come say “hi” if you are there!

Ray Austin a mightly fine pedal steel player usually plays with Landon Dodd on Wednesday night at the Longhorn Saloon in the Ft Worth stockyards.

I usually go there if I get into town soon enough, don't know yet if I will get to go this year.
