I spent a few hours going through all of the different guitarists toneprint downloads. I found one very lush and totally controllable toneprint that was programmed by Dave Weiner that works perfect for steel. He programmed a Cathedral type parameter, but with a lot of tail and no modulation. The Decay knob does it's job to shorten or lengthen the tail and the tone knob is programmed as a damper control. Between those two controls you can dial in a very lush setting for slow songs and less for fast tunes. I've always used a delay and reverb to control how much tail I preferred on songs. With this toneprint I can eliminate the delay. This toneprint also adds some sparkle to the tail. I'd have to look at his toneprint editor settings to dissect how he arrived at this reverb program. I've never been happy with the many reverb pedals that are on the market. Possibly purchasing the more elaborate and expensive reverb units are capable. For the money and small package, this toneprint does it. I have two of the original Hall Of Fame pedals. The Hall Of Fame2 is capable of storing 3 toneprint programs. Storing 3 would have the advantage of selecting 3 different programs or tweaking Dave Weiner's program onto the other two selection switches for instant changes without having to make an adjustment for fast and slow tunes on the fly. Just a thought worth trying if you own a Hall Of Fame pedal.

Thanks Dennis, I might give that Toneprint a listen.

For now I've settled on another one, Arizona Sunrise by Johnny A. I like the 100ms pre-delay that keeps the reverb from getting in the way of the picking.

Tommy, yes, the pre-delay is vital. The good thing about the toneprint editor, is adjusting the minute aspects of a toneprint to suit yourself. I'm not sure where Dave Weiner has his set? That's why I'm going to look at it. I like a little longer pre-delay also. On his video, he is using it with a very long tail and more than I like, but it can be dialed back on the pedal. I'll have to check out the one you're using.

I just watched Johnny A toneprint video. It's impressive. It sounds like he's using the TC Compressor and Delay along with the Reverb. Maybe it requires having all 3 pedals to get his full sound? Since I have two Hall Of Fame pedals, I'll download his reverb and compare it with Dave Weiner's toneprint. That's on the agenda for next week.
Thanks for sharing.

I found some time to check it all out. I compared the Lushverb to Arizona and think I like the Lushverb. It has a cleaner tail and the tone knob damping has more control of the reverb parameters. It seems like the tone knob also darkens along with damping as you turn counterclockwise. It sounds like the tone knob on the Arizona controls the modulation? I don't care for modulation on reverb and most of the reverb toneprints that I downloaded had mild to extreme programmed into them. Also, the decay on the Lushverb has a larger parameter of control with the decay knob (full left is dead and full right is deep into a cavern. I found the tone knob at 10:00 and decay at 11:00 gets me in the ballpark on the Lushverb. Pre-delay on both toneprints seems to be the same which leads me to believe Johnny A is getting some of that delay signal from his compressor and delay pedals? His overall sound is great. I don't need more pedals in my toybox. Rolling Eyes I'm trying to cut back.
