I know questions about replacement parts have been asked here many times before, so I apologize. I just picked up n early 1970s MSA Classic D-10 and the two legs closest to where I sit are stuck in a very tall position. The last player was very tall and I am not, and I'd like the guitar to sit level.

Unless anyone can recommend a way to loosen the legs so they can adjust, I'm looking at some options here: Do you know if any of these will work for an MSA Classic? Or if there is another option I'm missing?

Mullen Legs: https://mullenguitars.com/product/adjustable-leg/

Sill Music Suppy: https://www.sillmusicsupply.com/3-quality-steel-guitar-legs-as-used-by-several-pedal-steel-guitar-manufacturers_p_24.html

I also need to replace some rods that will not adjust height anymore (the nut and connecting ball joint won't move), does anyone know where I can find the right rods for old MSAs, along with the ball joints? It seems some of the links I've seen here don't work anymore. I think most 1/8th inch rods seem fine.

Thanks! - Liam[/url]

You should be able to unscrew the clutch and remove the inter tube.
I suggest you take the back legs apart and check the inside. Some one may have put dowel rods in the back legs, So they would not slip when playing or moving.
Clean the threads on leg and clutch with a fine brush and oil so they will hold good.

A MSA D10 Classic weighs 85lb. in its case. Some players are known to put dowel rods in the legs, Have a good cover and haul the guitar setup, So 20lb+ case can stay home.

Good Luck on this project. Happy Steelin.
