If anybody from Colorado is driving to Arizona for the SWSGA steel show and will be going through Grand Junction, I have some Telonics equipment I’d like to get to Dave Beatty. Can anybody help? Thanks very much.

I am glad to see Dee Carestia is playing this show along with some of my favorite steel players. I may have to try to make this one. Dee is my first steel teacher and played steel for my when he was going to college at Colorado State University. _________________ Bill Bailey

What a great show -- tons of fantastic music -- the best "good music per dollar" ratio of any event -- friendly people -- I just felt I had to get this off my chest, I'm sorry if this ran long
Jim Cohen playing some really excellent jazz tunes and the band stepped up! -- Love Has No Pride, hauntingly beautiful
Travis Toy graciously agreeing to play the final slot along with Paul Haaker -- whoa Nelly-- some technical fireworks happened -- OK, Travis sounded like Eddie van Halen at times! -- Paul Haaker, a top notch player, was torn between nailing down his side and being amazed an what Travis was playing -- it was a barnburner! music per dollar!!
Pete Grant -- what a treasure -- here's a guy who was there when Garcia and New Riders were doing their thing -- played some really fine songs -- you can tell he just loves the songs so much he doesn't worry that every thing is perfect, he just wants to get the song out of him -- heartfelt -- I hope to drive up No Calif to see him play -- "Stella Blue", such a haunting tune (not country, I know) -- "Broken Hearted People" !! great songwriting
Dean Parks -- "Do It Again" slayed -- wah wah pedal at the ready -- what a fine musician -- later sat in on guitar, exciting to watch
Jay Dee Maness -- smooth, precise, great tone -- what a history he has -- one of the true ambassadors of the instrument -- I think of him as a true friend (I don't know what he thinks of me!)
Doug Livingstone -- he uses three fingerpicks and a thumb pick and a guitar with "too many changes" -- master musician -- equally on piano or steel -- any style -- witnessing Doug play is like a vacation from Earth -- anything from Bach to Beach Boys
Larry Toliver -- solid delivery of the goods here -- ebullient performer
Rick Schmidt -- I knew he was an excellent steeler, but he can really sing well too -- really knows the instrument and the back neck
Uncle Tony -- very country playing -- fantastic tone -- from what I saw played a Mullen G2 through a Fender Twin -- my Mullen RP don't sound quite like that, maybe I should get more headroom
Andrea Witt -- wow -- Wild Horses, Once Upon a Time In the West, she loves Jerry and I love Jerry
Frank Carter -- great tone, excellent human, has been so helpful to me -- many of the steelers here played guitars that he built
John Corzine -- this was his debut, he comported himself well -- later let his hair down with some singing -- very down home
the house band: Chuck Back guitar (authentic licks and another nice singer), Dan Range drums (who played the entire 2 day show) -- Skip Edwards keys (legend -- just solid and knowledgeable of so many songs and styles) -- Peter Freiberger bass (bedrock) -- Christopher Woitach guitar (really shone on the jazz stuff) -- Darcey Bodemuller bass (playing a Reverend bass, solid down under)
Since 2017 I've been to every one and I want to say thank you for an incredible experience very time
You gotta get to this show! _________________ Guacamole Mafia - acoustic harmony duo
