I use a tumbler like Ricky with the ceramic abracive to remove machining marks and burrs leaves a nice even finish.

Those look nice! Harbor freight has ceramic too. I can't believe I have been using sandpaper. |

It does take a few hours to do these and the abrasive pices will get stuck in the holes but not hard to get out.

I am thinking it would be better to do threading after tumbling for this reason. |

Ricky, Thanks for the tumbler info. The Mullens S12 I bought out of Maine, Lived in a house very close to the ocean. It has a white fuzz on some of the aluminum parts underneath. Especially the bell cranks. |
