Hi. I'm a new member here and a relatively new player. I'm thankful for all the info that people have been sharing on this forum. Thank you all.

Now to my question:
Has anyone installed a Duncan Little'59 in a '55 Fender Studio Deluxe/Champ without any additional routing in the cavity?
I replaced the original Fender pu with a Porter strat pu that I had. It barely fits and leaves very little room for up/down adjustment.
The Vintage Vibe website has ceased operations. Any other good alternatives?
Thank you.

That sounds like something the people on the Stewart Duncan Forum might know about.

Thanks, Brad.
Couldn't find anything there.
Waiting for someone here to chime in. After all, this is the forum of the experts.

Yes, it will fit no problems. I put a Hot Rails into my Champ, a distinct improvement. The guitar is so tinny that the hotter the better. Thinking about a string-through mod next!

Thanks, Brad. I'll look into that.
That (very tight) Porter pu has a hight of 0.82".
According to the Duncan site, the Hot Rails and the Little '59 have a hight of 0.85". The cavity in you Champ seems to be a little deeper to mine then.

Could it be that older Hot Rails or Little '59 pickups have a different height?
