OK, who is the purveyor of this fabulous steel guitar tone?
Another "who's the steel player"....sorry... Embarassed

I heard it on Jim Loessberg's steelradio segment in surround sound. The playing and tone just got to me. No less, Justin's singing, but I'd just like to know who played pedal steel on this cut 2004 release. Thanks.

Edit: Discogs lists Scott Walls. Man on man. So sweet.

Yes, the steel playing is pretty sweet, but man….This is a perfectly written, performed, and recorded song! Brought a smile to my face. I’m embarrassed not to have known who Justin Trevino is until now. Great voice! Thanks for posting, Jerry.

Yes well Fred, you're welcome, I've seen some things written about Justin here, but never really dug into his stuff. I know he is pretty well known around the Texas area and I'm sort of late coming to the party. Great Texas and traditional shuffles etc.

I'm getting a real steel guitar education through listening to www.steelradio.org I'm hip to some of the steelers and songs but just getting acquainted with some others.

Glad to be a listener there.

Purveyor of that tone? In large part the studio recording and mastering. I’ve noticed that certain studios, many in Texas, have consistently clear but warm steel tone with very little compression or harshness.

Dickie Overby laid down a clinic of great simple fillls behind Justin’s great singing.
