Hello. I bought a fender 400 and a piece seems to have disappeared in shipping. It is the link piece that is threaded on both sides that attaches to the pulley on one side and the hook to the pull rod on the other. Does anyone happen to have spares or know another option for replacing these? Is this something you can find at a hardware store?

Luckily, you don’t necessarily need that piece but I emailed for more info as I may have something. You could easily just just a hex/wing nut (3-/16” most likely if you measure your existing sleeve thread size.)
I’m looking for rods for a Fender 1000 from the 50s and have been looking for a couple of rods as well so just sharing what I’ve learned! There are threads about how to create these parts here as well (search WTB section for pedal rod or fender 1000 and you’ll find em)

It's not completely clear from your description, but I think you may be talking about one of these, the adjuster on the pull cables that hooks onto the bell crank, no? If so, those are actually left-right threaded turnbuckles, originals are like hen's teeth, and not something you'll find at a hardware store or anywhere else. They're fairly easy to fabricate if you have the right tools. They are threaded 6-32, the hook end is standard right hand thread and easy to fabricate from a long partial thread screw from the hardware store. The other end that is braised onto the cable is left hand thread, you'd have to make that yourself if you need it, but it sounds like perhaps you just need the turnbuckle and hook. The turnbuckle itself is 1.5" x 3/16" Ø and obviously requires opposite female threading at either end. If this is not what you're talking about you should post a pic.

Ian, that’s it! Sorry for not providing pictures but I figured someone would know what I was talking about. And yes they thread in both directions so it tightens both sides at the same time. Anyone able to make me one of these?
I have the hook piece. |

I have a friend who's a machinist/fabricator. I gave him a few parts including these & asked him to give me his set up fee & per part price for 100 pieces. I'll let you know if his price is feasible for these parts & I place an order.
