[ I purchased my second pedal steel from JB Van in Baytown,TX circa 1978. I’d like to get it back. I was 13 when I purchased it and didn’t realize how much I’d miss it.
It’s a unique guitar due to the damage done to the E9th fretboard via a drop of semichrome polish.(see the depiction below).
I think it is in the Winnie/Houston, Tx area but I’m not sure. I sold it in 1981. I’d appreciate any leads.

Man, that pic brings back memories of the Old Rodair my friend. Who else? You, Timmy, Gus, looks like Albert Miller Drums? Can’t make out the others.
Then there’s this clip of y’all with Garland’s Elvis sideburns and you playing what looks like Nelson’s black super pro?

David, that pic was taken at the Rodair Club on a Sunday afternoon. Phil Menard and his band allowed us sit-in so Joe Thibodeaux could determine if we could take the Saturday night dances. That’s Garland Domingue on drums(pre-side burns), Gus Coubello on fiddle, and Wallace DeRouen on guitar. I’m playing on Nelson’s (new) Pro-2. Playing on that guitar convinced me that I needed an upgrade from my Fender 400. I included that pic for reference because the pics I have of my Professional guitar are in storage.
In the vid that’s my black Super-Pro that I purchased in July of ‘81 from Herb Remington in preparation to attend Jeff’s school in October. My Professional model only had 2 levers and I was ignorant to having levers added. I wish Id known because the Super-Pro never sounded/sustained like The Professional model. After trying different pups, amps, etc I eventually sold the SP to David Weldon in Sulphur circa ‘85 when I purchased a first gen LeGrande while playing for Mark Nesler and Mark Chesnut. David still plays the SP in church and loves it. It has Lloyd, Jeff, and Buddy’s autographs on the end plate.
There’s more than you asked….lmbo!! _________________ RETIRED
