I use iRealPro for chord charts, but an looking for a way to create tablature. What do you all use, and why?

I know it would be cheating, but I would really love some miraculous program that could listen to a piece, parse out the steel, then transcribe it into whatever tuning I prefer.

For what it's worth, I kind of like the tabs that include the musical notation as well.

I'm willing to spend money on an app/program, but prefer it if it's not too, to expensive. Around $20 is ideal, if such a thing exists.

Thanks!

I write my tabs the old way, by hand.
My tabs also include the musical notation, lyrics and chords.
I have written over 2,000 tabs this way.

Apparently it should not to be confused with the MuseScore App, which is very different and costs cash money.

The Musescore "app" (i.e. program) is free and open source, and excellent. There is no pro version. There is no cost whatsoever for this program.

Musescore.com also sells a score-sharing service subscription which costs money and should definitely be avoided unless you have done your due diligence and think you really need it.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING IF YOU JUST NEED THE PROGRAM. The subscription service is a bit predatory and will try to trick you into clicking on their "free trial".
