I have a 1946 Epi Zephyr archtop, with original wiring that is too crusty to pull out of the guitar and look at. I know that Epiphone made lap steels in the same era with the same pickup and controls, and I kind of think they used the same electronic package for the Mastervoicer tone control. Has anyone pulled it out and figured out the schematic? I suspect a hi-cut and low-cut filter based on the "Mellow, Normal, Bright" but I don't know, and I would love to find out. BTW pots that have lived inside an archtop for 75 years are insanely crunchy looking, but they still work great!

Hey, I pulled this Mastervoicer tone control from a 1948 Century Hawaiian. Didn't take measurements, but I still have the pot somewhere so I'll do that at some point.[/img]
