Around 4-5 years ago, I recorded a Lefty Frizzell cover album with Cody Jinks. Covid happened and we never released the album. Fast forward to just this past Friday and we finally released it from the vault. I recorded dobro and steel on it. It’s my 9th album with Jinks, and turning into my most favorite so far. Check it out wherever you stream music, I’m proud of this one!

Sounds good, man. Did you play a straight steel to make it more period-correct or a modern pedal rig?

Austin “Hotrod” Tripp:

I asked the forum not long ago who played pedal steel for Cody Jinks? They all knew who it was and I am glad to see your post on here. I noticed your talents right off the first Jinks song I ever heard. You are definately playing like the previous players that played Country or Jazz would definately approve of your style! That Mullins sure sounds real good and your picking style brings it all to the front. I will look for that album and wear it out as I have many others through the years. Hope to meet you someday, somewhere. Good Luck and Keep picking!

Respectfully

Good stuff, would be even better with a bit less vocal reverb. Love the aged cover!
