Hey Y'all,

I have some older Peavey PR speakers that I don't use any more, I was looking into adding plate amplifiers on the back, but the prices I've been seeing are crazy high, it would be cheaper to trash the old PR's, and buy new powered speakers.

Does anyone have a source for inexpensive Full Range Plate Amplifiers?

thanks,
Walter

Have you checked www.parts-express.com ? They are a fair selection of speaker related items.

The ICE power amp modules are nice, but you would have to mount them on a plate.

Some of the Dayton amp modules have DSP which is easy to program. Have not used these in a musican instrument application, but they work very well in sdt audio applications.

I've looked over the parts express offerings and after I add the power supply I and heat sinks I'm well over the price of new powered speakers. I've seen some interesting amps on ali-baba but you have to buy in quantities of 50 or more! Thanks for the interest though!
