Yup, the prices people are asking for vintage gear has gotten truly ridiculous.
The Maverick is only priced at about three times what it is worth, I see a lot worse just about every day.
How about this fry pan?

Not just vintage and not just eBay and Reverb. Here as well. It's my opinion that all the forum activity related to steel guitar is partly the reason for a lot of interest, and the online retailers following suit, with some players not really knowing the value.

Apologies to some of the sellers, but it's rare when a reasonable selling price is offered with the cheerleaders yelling "great price". No, it's not.

Add to that all the D10 conversions where the modded asking price is still more than a complete D10 should cost.

Maybe I'm behind the times and the economy and I guess I'm just out of touch, but I can't see the inflated value for these instruments.

Just my opinion FWIW, not too much I'm sure.
