Looking to possibly purchase this Rickenbacker. There is no info on it but I will have a chance to view in person. What would a good price for this? There is some obvious wear on it but I’ve seen them in much worse condition for higher price.
Thanks,
Nick

Can't tell for sure but it looks like the 1.5" pickup to me. If so, $2000ish seems about right. If not, maybe $1400ish. |

I have one similar to that one, with the T shaped metal logo on the headstock and metal tail piece. Those guitars were made between 1945-49. It has a 1-1/4" wide pickup.
The Rickenbacker on the metal logo is spelled Rickenbacher.
Measure the width of the horseshoes on the pickup. If it's 1-1/4" w I'd estimate it worth from $1200.00 up to $1400.00. Depending on the condition it could be worth a little less.
If it has a 1-1/2" w pickup it will be worth several hundred more. |

I purchased one that's nearly identical (the flying saucer knobs on mine are ivory) in Honolulu back in the mid-'80s:
Of the dozen or so lap steels I currently have at my disposal, it sounds far and away the best. Nab one if you can; you won't be disappointed. The Ric B6 is a tried and true (a 90+ year-old design), awe-inspiring instrument (in my opinion). |

Thanks so much for that info Jack and Greg. As the seller is willing to go under $1k I think I’ll pick it up. |

Great deal - do it! Bakelite Ricky's are amazing regardless of which pickup it has. |
