Don't laugh!! Works damn good for 50 bucks!!! Try it. I just turn my reverb on my NV112 down to about 3.... Set it just like I have it... I use it on anything that has Do Bro fill. Boss made a Do Bro pedal years back. This is what they used. They set it like mine and welded a cover over the sldes. Fact........

It was Bobbe Seymour that modified a Boss GE7 by setting the sliders, breaking the sliders off, covering them with plastic, and charging $250 when I bought one from him. Boss did not do it, Bobbe did. He neglected to change out the rubber footswich pad that said "BOSS". At that time, retail for new GE7 was $120. I'm sure Bobbe got them at wholesale price.

It didn't cost that much but it was pretty much a rip off and I fell for it.
I still have one. Whoa!

I called Bobbe out on the rip off. Part of it played out here on the forum. I exposed what the Bo-Bro (Bobbe's name for it) actually was. He accused me of trying to put him out of business. That was my second rip off incident with him.

I don't see it as a rip off. It was a product that Bobbe modified to work as a reso sim. It ought to be worth something for the discovery that the pedal had the ability to work like that and it works good.

How is it a rip off? All effects pedals are built and or modified to do a certain job. If you want to start talking about copies of various stomp boxes, there have been and still are a ton of them.

I've had a couple of the BoBros. Always satisfied with the results. Like all the others, it's really more like an electrified pedal dobro sim than a real acoustic one.

I think this horse has been beat to death kicking Seymour around. He provided a product that worked well and made a few bucks off it. No different than anything else. Let it go.

The Jerry Douglas Aura pedal has gotta be the most realistic. Just pick a setting that gets along with your amp and speaker rig EQ-wise and dial the mix up to 100%. I’ve used it a few times when I couldn’t bring a dobro rig, and it’s worked out really well.

Different from the regular 16 aura pedal how?

Another vote for Tom Bradshaw’s resonator II.

Keep in mind with the Fishman Aura JD pedal, it will only yield great results with a piezo pickup. It will not work on a magnetic steel pickup.

Respectfully disagree. I've used it a bunch of times on small and large stages in my pedal steel rig and it sounds just like a dobro.

It is true that with a dobro you'll want to use the Fishman Nashville pickup. If you have a different type of pickup in your dobro, the signal may be weak and still prone to feedback.

Brett,
Which pickup are you using in your steel? We’ve tried multiple times and it does not produce tones as good as a piezo pickup

All my steels have single coil pickups under 13k... That could certainly have something to do with it.
