The JF picks are pretty rare, so let me suggest the best pick I've ever used. I like them better than anything, including the JF.

Name is Jeffery Mercer, and I’ve been a Forum Member for quite a few years now, and I have to say that I totally agree with the Statement that Hoffmeyer finger picks are the best picks I’ve ever come across…and worth every penny! Real honest to goodness Quality, look, feel, they are among the very best if not the best, they are like Jewelry, being a very, very, attractive Set of fingerpicks.
Give em a try!
You truly will not regret it!
Respectfully,
Jeffery S Mercer

I had a set of JF picks and they were so-so. They were given to me by another steel player. Some one had bent them in each diamond hole till they were Hex shaped. I was afraid 1 of them would break if I refitted them. One pick would catch on the other, 1 would fly for parts unknown.

The Showcase 41, Is very near the JF picks with round wrap holes. The man who sold them died, They are very rare now too. Like JF picks and Chicken Teeth.

Actually, there is really nothing at all that is Special about the JF fingerpicks, I’ve got (2) pair I purchased when they were for sale (I followed the Hype) while trying to shape one of the picks to fit my finger, it snapped right into, being made by what appeared to me to be cheap grade metal…I think these picks and all there hype, was nothing more than sentimental hype, from someone everyone knew and liked who simply passed away, and the picks were used, sold, & purchased, purely out of sentiment…to each his own.
The Hoffmeyer fingerpicks and or the New Dunlop Paul Franklin Fingerpicks are a much better investment, and a higher Quality pick than those JF Collectables…
My 2 cents

I didn't notice anyone asking about desirablility, quality, alternatives to or anything else about these JF picks. Just a member posting a classified looking to buy some.

I could say I wouldn't give you a nickel for all the Dunlops or blue Hercos on the planet but that wouldn't matter to those who like and use those items.

Same with anyone posting deragatory comments about the JFs would matter to those of us who use them.

It would also be an insult to the users of same as if they were ignorant about the characteristics of those items.

Topics for discussion of pick types, likes and dislikes, quality of, problems with and other things steel guitar should go in the relevant section rather than in the classified pages.
