Very sad news I hoped this would not be true. Mike helped me on the 3 different Mullen guitars I purchased. He would let me keep my traded in steel until completion of the new purchase. He told me he couldn't play steel, but he was such a masterful builder! Best of all, he was a very nice guy.

This is very sad news. A few years ago, Mike had sent a message to me here on the steel forum, wanting a list of players who play Mullen guitars to add to the Mullen website. At an acoustic jam session last week, I sang "Go Rest High On That Mountain" as a tribute to Mike. Although I've never played a Mullen, I love Mullen guitars, and Mike was part of a wonderful steel guitar company.

I haven't posted in years, but Mike sold me my g2 some years back, and I was sad to read of his passing.

I remember asking Mike -"Is it true that it takes a year just to suck on this instrument?" and Mike said, "Nope, it takes two".

Rest in peace and thanks.

I have a Mullen Guitar tee shirt that I bought at the Dallas show about 10 years ago and I had not worn it until the week of Mike's death. When I pulled it out of the closet, I had no idea of Mike's death. I am not one to delve into the paranormal, but I find this weird.

Sorry if this is off topic. I mean no disrespect to Mike or the Mullen family.

I met Mike a long time ago at the Phoenix Steel Guitar Show - I was real new the the steel guitar and he treated me so nice at the Mullen Booth - I'll always remember that. Such a class act.

My condolences to his family and friends.

My prayers for Mike and the Mullen family and crew. I'm deeply saddened by the loss. Mullen was my 1st brand new steel and I enjoyed it for 30 years and it's still going strong. I pray the Mullen company will continue in honor of Mikes contribution to the steel guitar family.

Rest in peace. I spoke to him when I purchased my single neck C6h, perhaps one of the few ever built by Mullen. He was very kind to me and added polished pedals to my guitar at no extra cost.

Wow just saw this. Terrible. Received my first guitar-G2-from them last year after talking to him about it at Jamboree '22. He was friendly and helpful. Website says he was engaged to Jeanette also at Mullen. My thoughts and best wishes to the company they are good people.
