This our dog Charlie. He's been a member of our family for about 8 years. He's a Labradoodle. Got run over by a Mercedes about 4 years ago. He should not be here, but, here he is.
He's a nervous guy. Hates loud noises with a passion. I learned a few years ago that he loves the basement to hide in during thunderstorms, wind and fireworks. I also learned he loves Stan Getz, Mozart, and Coltrane during stressful times. He listens, lays on the floor, and nods out.

Tonight, I noticed another thing he likes: pedal steel guitar. My wife, Robin, went to bed with Chuck, and I thought it would be a great time to go practice. No sooner did I start to play when Chuck came down from the 2nd story bedroom to the basement, and laid down right in front of my guitar. He LOVES the sound. He stretched out and closed his eyes. He's also nonjudgmental.

Got a story of your dog or cat? Post it up. Ain't nothing in life better than the unconditional love of a dog or cat.

If you have a caption for this photo, I'd love to hear it. Very Happy

Don, love your story on Charlie, he's beautiful. I have a miniature labradoodle (Chloe)and can totally relate. Between enjoying steel and my best friend (Chloe), that's all I need. Best to you!

@John Palumbo Chloe is gorgeous! We got Charlie when he was about 2. A rescue of sorts. I can imagine that's what he looked like as a puppy. LDs are really great dogs.

My Pup "Tucker" is also a huge proponent of pedal steel guitar, and motorcycles as well! My two favorite pastimes!

My 'dog' was a water monitor lizard. I had him a while back. My wife said that Puff (that was his name, he was my 'magic dragon') would watch and listen as I played my pedal steel, I didn't notice, as I was busy playing, but my wife did notice and said so ... no pics, that was some time ago .......
