I just bought a used Goodrich Omni Vp today and have a question about the active passive switch. the button is pushed in and I can push it but it does but seem to change position. The instruction that came with it says to use the supplied Allen wrench which I did not get.

Can anyone tell me do I need some sort of Allen wrench( it has a square head) so not sure what I need!

If I recall, the button is inset pretty deep so you need an object (anything....pencil, little screwdriver....) to push it deep enough to latch. I actually fitted mine with a little extender so that I could finger-activate it. The downside to that is that it can get accidentally switched in your pakkaseat.

Thanks Jon, should there be 2 stops, one pretty deep and one almost flush but not quite? It is almost flush now but I took a screwdriver and I can push it in but it does but appear to do anything other than go in. I believe it is in passive now but not positive!

I just checked. The button latched all the way in is the passive position. A little bit out (I don't remember how far it sticks out, now that I have an extension piece on the button) is active.

Active, but without a battery or power supply, will cut your signal. It won't work.
