Up for sale is my 1968 Emmons S10 with 6 pedals and 4 knee levers. The copedent is straight Buddy Emmons. This is the guitar many of y'all have seen me play at both the TSGA Jamboree and the SWSGA show in Phoenix. Since I'm virtually retired I'm thinning the herd and this is the next sweetheart to go.
It's all original except for the E-66 pickup that was installed by Bobby Bowman when he performed a setup on the guitar years ago. The E66 was installed for recording purposes. I still have the original pickup and will include it. Also included is the Emmons volume pedal, with the "Weldon mod." The undercarriage is immaculate, as is the topside. No nicotine anywhere on this guitar. Original case is included also.
Bear in mind that this instrument is 56 years old and is in great condition, considering its age. Bobby and I stripped and cleaned this guitar, reflocked the undercarriage, and Bowman did one of his legendary setups on this instrument.
I have more photos to send to those actually interested in this guitar.
I'm asking $5000, plus shipping.

The copedent is the standard 5 pedal C6 setup that is common to all guitars with that tuning, with one additional pedal.
Pedal one raises s.10 a whole tone C - D
Pedal two through six are standard C6
LKL raises s.4 a half tone A - Bb
LKR lowers s.4 a half tone A - Ab
RKL lowers s.3 a half tone C - B
RKR raises s.3 a half tone C - C# _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

It's a second volume control mounted to the pedal and controlled by a manually operated pot mounted on the upper frame behind the output jack. It attenuates the volume when the initial volume pot is at full open position.
It involves a line running from the hot terminal of the input jack to a tab on the volume pot, then to a tab on a second pot mounted behind the output jack controlled by a knob. Then a line from the hot tab on the output jack running to another tab on the second pot.
I've never used it and only had it described to me by an oldtimer (what? Like I'm not an oldtimer? ) who said "that's the Weldon Mod." But that's what it does. Kind of redundant, IYAM.

Lots of lookers, but nobody moved to action. So perhaps I've slightly overvalued the instrument.
Price is now $4500, plus the ride. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

While I have not seen this specific mod….I have some Boss/Roland VP’s that do have a second Volume Pot. However, it is used to set a volume level instead of totally off when VP is in Up position it can be to some level less than Full On.
I don’t use it with PSG, but use on regular guitar, to go between Rhythm (lower volume) and Lead (higher volume). _________________ Pedal Steel Guitar is "Music from Heaven" |
