Nice preamp with a small footprint and very similar mid controls as the Sesh 400, also has an XLR direct out. $125 shipped.

Did you ever try it with anything but bass? I’ve heard some have used it with acoustic instruments but wonder how the EQ sounds …

Gary, I've never used it with a bass, only pedal steel, I'm sure it would work fine with just about any instrument. Having the mid shift control is a nice feature giving you the ability to shape those frequencies. Hope this helps.
