This is an excellent player grade Ric here folks. Been gigging with this guitar for 2 years. Good price for a 7 string.

Not exactly sure. It is a BD and it has the 6 holes drilled for string through body so it is in the last years of the Bakelite guitars I believe. Scary powerful.

No. They came from the factory that way. Ric went back to the string through body design in the final years and would out put on a 7 string tailpiece,7 pole pickup, and modified the headstock for the extra string.Same guitar as in previous years but for the holes in the body and of course the metal cover on the headstock.

As I understand it,in this time period Ric did the string thru body again for a while but only for the 6 strings. 7 and 8 string got the tailpiece. This one has the 6 holes through the body. These guitars as I understand it did not have the integrated bridge. These subjects have been gone over here on the forum that's where I have gotten my info from.

Not much interest in this guitar for some reason. I have just come into a '61 Brownface Princeton. These 2 are quite a pair. Gonna keep this guitar after all. Happy Trails. MikeC
