Thanks Jerry, it is a fantastic guitar , I love Marlen steels , especially pull/release , but this one is all pull … I got some brand new legs from Mullen , and new pedal rods with connectors from Michael Yahl … also set up with a new set of Franklin strings as well … it is a beauty now

A little info about the "All-Pull Marlen".
When Leonard and Marvin designed this new pivot changer, right around 1980; to start building the new Marlen All-Pull pedal steel; they actually got a "Patent" on that Changer Mechanism as the first patent, on a mechanical String changing mechanism, ever given out> YES IT IS THAT GOOD.
The sound of this Marlen to me: sounds exactly between a Sho-bud and Emmons; in Tone and plays as consistent in perfection as any.

I hear ya Damir; I have so many steels I let go SIMPLY because I knew I would NOT play them anymore when I found my LDG I was looking for forever. I DO NOT believe a Steel guitar should sit in a Closet; it needs to be played and heard; is the reason we sell those we love.
This Marlen you have for sale is very very early "ALL-PULL" I believe; do you have a serial number on it?? it is Beautiful and would be a MONSTER pedal steel for anyone.

That tells me even more that it's probably first (All-Pull) series right about 1979 or 1980....my guess.
??

Yes remember to read that sketched serial number "Backwards" for the year; for instance:
(Ser# 1473891) backwards is 1983

Way cool Damir, looks like 1984 it is; and that's a great year.
William, I may have just copied your number from a post I saw, or I just made it up just for the practice of reading the serial number backwards ha lol.
1981 Marlen is great, it's one of the very first years they came out with that all-pull, "patent" string-changer.

Craig, it’s Emmons setup , not sure about the weight , but it’s not too heavy, probably around 65lbs +/- few pounds would be my guess

Thank you for the reply!
