I have a Fender 6 str lap steel.
Pan tuner
fret numbers written on neck
serial #9011
brown tolex case
black keys, knobs and pickup
spaghetti logo decal on body right at the 8th fret

I think it was originally part of an amp and lap steel package but I'm not sure.

Does anybody know the year of this steel and if the black knobs and all were standard at one time ?

thanks, Bob

Bob, sounds like an early '60's (60-62) Champ model. Don't know if they sold it as a combo with an amp at that time. The black buttons, knobs & pickup are appropriate. The numbers on the neck, I'm not sure about. I know the "White" lap model had them, but not sure about the Champ.
