Ron Anderson at Justice Steel Guitars makes left handed steels as well. He's great to work with and his steels are top notch. _________________ Justice S10 3x4 Blue Ripple

There are several out there, but folks hang on to them or lefty players find them quickly. There is a shortage, i regularly turn down offers when i play out.
my take, most lefty customers are already skilled musicians with some chops, looking to add a pedal steel. The beginners really need to reconsider a righty imo. I was too far along to do that. |

Hi James, same here, if i was starting out, it would be righty full on!
Tom Hi, Mullen also makes great guitars, lefty too if you like it that way, I played G2 the other day and it was flawless and it sounded amazing, it is a pristine instrument.
Justice is great too and Williams, all build great guitars you can keep for life and that's all you will ever need.
I had my D10 Emmons LL2 8 x 7 for 25 years and that's all i will ever need.
Good luck in everything you do! |

I'm in the process of building one. I didn't have a stroke, but I have a different neurological condition called "focal dystonia) that keeps my picking fingers from working. Though I mainly played the fiddle (my bowing arm is messed up too), and often played the banjo, I did play some PSG forty years ago. Because I also broke my right ankle very badly about twenty years ago (if I'd knowed I was gonna last this long-I woulda taken better care of myself) I'm keeping the pedals on the left hand side (I THINK it might end up having some mechanical advantages because to pull rods won't need to be as long-but we'll see).
Re-learning to pick with the Left hand wasn't hard, but my right hand fingering is slower than I'd wish on the banjo, so I've been playing some dobro left-handed without too much trouble-and I can hardly wait get my PSG up and running.
So even though I didn't start out a lefty, I am one now! Life is too short to be discouraged by those with good sense-so do whatever you can to get playing. |
