Originally playing 6-string, it was seeing YouTube clips of Paul Franklin knocking it out the park at On The Night that brought me into the steel guitar world. Steels aren’t very easy to source here over in the U.K. But eventually I’d got my hands on an old Sho-Bud Maverick and never looked back. Anyway, I’m still obsessed with the On The Night performance.

I had a go at what Paul played on Brothers in Arms for Instagram. Might not quite be note for note but i got as close as my ears would allow me!
