Does anyone have any info or a user manual on this amp? I have attached a picture below. It’s for sale in my area and I am supposed to check it out soon. It appears to be the larger cabinet and not the LV model. This is the only picture I have. Thanks!

That looks like a hybrid Evans amp.
Tube preamp and Transistor power amp.
I would get in touch with Darell Stephens.
He could tell you for sure and also tell you about putting it into first class shape.

I believe that’s an FET 500 Evans amp from the late 70’s to 80’s, not hybrid.

I agree with John Lacey. It appears to be an early FET 500 Custom from the late 70s. The original dark grill cloth has been replaced with the light colored grill cloth as seen in the photo. They came with K or E series (the E a bit later) JBL 15" speakers. I had several of these early FET 500 Customs back when they were new and they were outstanding sounding amps !! I still play through an Evans FET 500 LV (small cab) and love it but, I wish I still had my original FETs as well.

Graham's suggestion about contacting Derrell Stephens is a good idea. He's the one that brought my amps to me at a show we played in Texarkana in the late 70s. He knows everything about them inside out and is a great guy.

Hope you're well John !!

Also, these early FET 500s were high-volt not the low-volt version as denoted by the "LV" which came a bit later. "LV" models were available in large and small cabinet sizes. All great amps !!

I have an Evans FET 500 LV Custom that seems to be an early one. Not sure why the inputs are a bit different.
