Hey all!
I'm looking to buy my first PSG and wanted to know if any of you have heard of the Sho-Nuff/Growlers PSGs?

I added a link. I see Freeman Arthur plays them and although I know he isn't as revered as others, he seems decent.
Any opinions would be welcome as I want something that would be great for a beginner but also something that would be nice enough for me to grow into.

I have not seen nor played any of these guitars, so I can't offer a "hands on" review myself.

I've not seen or played those specific guitars, but I have some hands on with the Hudson guitars which are very similar. In fact, I understand some of those people worked for Jimmie at one time.
My friend just bought a Hudson a few weeks ago and I helped him with some setup issues on it. These are my findings concerning the similar Hudson pedal steel. If the Growler and Sho-Nuff guits are near the same, I would have these thoughts.

It's a pretty versatile little machine. I hadn't considered using that tuning but it works pretty well. A lot of 6 bangers are tuned E B G# in octaves. |

I have a 6 string sho-nuff, 2 pedal 2 knee .I have it tuned and set up to open G. It is a good guitar and cost less to get started..

I have a Tele plus telecaster, Larrivee acoustic. Also have a Fender resonator guitar with new Quarterman cone and spider, and an Allan tailpiece .Playing through a Fender Super Champ XD, using a little delay on the amp and a Harmonix Holy Grail Echo pedal, set on Hall turned to about 1pm.Just Bought a Yamaha FGX5 Recently and love it. Recently got a Sho-NUFF 6 string pedal steel in open G.Still learning. |

| I just worked on A ShoNuff and it is a great guitar for the money. Obviously a student model w pull release changer and un-traditional square legs but is a good guitar for a new student. |
