Just got it. Love it. Got to sell it to cover unexpected expenses.

Beard 9.5 cone biscuit bridge. Bottleneck style similar to National guitars but with a square neck. Bone nut, wood body...birch, I believe.

Converted from lefty to righty. Can easily be returned to Lefty if you are a southpaw.

This thing is like new. Only a couple years old. Has little play time and in perfect cosmetic condition. The case is pristine also. All minty stuff.

Guitar has a terrific woody, bluesy tone tuned in open D. There are no electronics on this guitar.

Beard has discontinued this model Deco Phonic and this squareneck model is hard to come by.

$1495 + actual insured shipping via FedEx. App. an additional $125-150 for ship, pkg, supplies, forum fee etc. depending on your location.

Money orders or certifiable cleared bank instruments from forum members only in conus. Sorry, No paypal.
PM for contact, questions, etc. As usual, regional deal meet up, pick up takes priority and preferred.

Offer subject to changes and/or removal at any time. No trades, reasonable offers heard.

Jerry, I wish I was not so poor these days - I'd love to own that. I love the combination of the biscuit cone with a wood body for a great bluesy tone. I guess they did not catch on if Beard has stopped making them, but that would be the perfect second reso after a spider-cone reso for anyone who plays a lot of blues. Good luck with the sale - someone will be getting a super instrument!

Thanks Douglas. The guitar is everything you say.

I know about being poor. That's why it's for sale.

I think Beard has discontinued all of the resonator line of Deco Phonics except maybe the models 37 and 57 sqnk, but I defer to the experts.

It's sort of unusual for a biscuit bridge on a squareneck. That's why I wanted it. I play lap, pedal steel and spider bridge square neck resonators...just never got the bottleneck round neck slide thing down. Cheers.

One of the inquiries I got concerned a history of stiff tuners on these Deco resos. Yes, this one also has some stiff tuners...kind of a bummer since it's nearly new condition.

I converted it to righty from lefty and just put it away to keep it from any potential harm and forgot about that issue. Honest mind slip. I just needed to sell it so didn't really play it.

I'm not sure, but the guys at Beard might be able to help with those tuners.

You might also want to do a set up on it just for your own benefit but it seems fine as is to me.

I also have a lg. body Appalachian spider bridge reso for sale in this section. That would put me closer. Thx.

Where I’m at these days, what with owning various lapsteels, steels, and resonators, jonesing for new guitars to purchase is very much an Expected Expense!

If you need to dig out of that hole, gotta lower the price of this shovel, my friend.

Nope. Priced fairly. Just needs the right buyer. If you're willing to make me a fair offer, I'll hear it.

I was in contact with Denny at Beard. He suggests one drop of 3 in 1 oil on the stiff tuners or loosening the worm gear hold down screw or both.

He did not offer to replace the Golden Age tuners but suggests Gotoh Mini machines as a replacement. He says they are a drop in replacement but the existing plate screw hole will be visible.

So, I'm willing to offer $75 allowance for tuner replacement.
