Right ! Is there a way to replace/changer & linkage in a Mav, to raise and lower the Es mainly? So lets replace the whole underside, kit and kaboodle.
A simple system would be best, I could make it work with the right parts.
Anybody try this?
Thanks in advance!

This question has been asked several times before. The general consensus is that by the time you were done buying parts and putting in the time you could get a better guitar like a Justice S-10 for about the same money. However, some would find it to be a fun project and the older style Mavericks have a great vintage look.

I looked at the link to the Mav mod you sent. Thanks! But I gotta say, that thing looks like a abomination. Now way thats gonna happen.
Theres gotta be a way to lower the Es. I know, Lloyd doesn't use a lever to lower his E's. Well I'm not Lloyd. Thanks for the replyies! Keep 'em coming.

There really is no reliable way to raise and lower the same string on a Maverick. I have seen a few conversions, but they are time consuming and expensive.

If it's original, it should have a lever lowering strings 2 and 8 a half tone. Incidentally, this is kinda like Lloyd's setup, as he only lowers the 8th string.

Hey Bud,

If you would like to see a change that can be made to your Maverick to add RKL/RKR for both E’s, send me an email and I will send you how to do it pictures.

The pictures are Hi-Res and the SGF software did not like them? Or I am stupid or both! 😂

The resolution limit for photos is 2400x2400. Lots of threads in Forum Feedback about this, and lots of ways to easily reduce the resolution.

Hey Dave,

Thank you for your comment! Maybe you could add it to the FAQ answer for “How to post a picture?

If Bud is interested he will contact me. I still place a value on my time and after the time I did spend, I found my alternative to be a good choice.

If I’m not mistaken Herb Steiner took a Maverick and made a not pedal out of it, with extended legs. Best use I’ve seen for one yet.
