Would one of the metal dowels in the image below work as a replacement for the one that bends?
Also, any guesses as to the diameter it should be?
This photo is of the pin that bends.

The chuck end of a proper size broken drill bit makes a good pin, Will not bend.
Grind to cut and smooth end, To go in finger. Epoxy if it is not a good tight fit. |

Try a 5/64 roll pin. _________________ I don't know much but what I know I know very well.
