"Walkin basin and canal" is about all I hear too. Maybe a Louisiana forumite can let us know if that phrase makes enough sense.

I'm not from Louisiana, but that's Basin and Canal Streets in New Orleans. Um ... girls walkin' Basin and Canal ... sounds clear to me. Red Light District.

Them Louisiana gals walking Basin and Canal. He leaves the g off the end of walking and says walking. I am positive about the other as I have in Louisiana 62 years I was born and raised here not trying to be a know it all so please don't take it that way.
