Hey folks.

I bought a really nice looking Williams U12 keyless (no series name and sub-60 serial) on craigslist a few months back. It has beautiful inlays but the old style keyless tuner with the long threaded posts (sorry don’t have pics at the moment). It’s got a George L pickup.

I sorta bought it on a whim thinking it could replace my MSA U12 and because I suffer from GAS, but it’s just not my jam.

I’m struggling to understand prices these days. What is a ballpark fair price to ask here?

I have tried searching the forum but I only see newer Williams that have sold in the last few years and they are just beyond this steel.

Thanks
Jon

Uggh. Its at a friends house, but I just realized its not a U12, but rather extended e9 with 4 floors and 5 knees.

Sorry for the confusion.

Ok thanks.

I saw that one in my searches but it's not a great match.

I see MSA classics for around 2k so maybe that’s the baseline for an older non-student guitar.

I think maybe this question is too open ended.

Not that there is anything wrong with the very first Williams guitars, but there have been many changes and upgrades in the last 25 yrs.

I don't like suggesting values that much, but with a few pics of the guitar, we might be able to make some comparisons with the current Williams guitars.
