Hi everybody! Thanks so much for having me here, and for all of the wonderful content and vibes. You guys are fantastic.

I’m a long time professional touring guitarist, and I’m brand new to steel. I grabbed a lovely ‘77 Emmons D10, and it needs some love to be tip top. I’d love to learn about it in the process, but either way, am looking for a tech that I can drive to.

I’m located in Burlington, VT. It would be killer to find someone close-ish to me, but I’m also not afraid of a road trip. Thanks in advance for any advice or ideas!

Best,
Zach

I echo the praise for Tom Cass. He works on all makes, but he does wonders with Emmonses, Zach.

And welcome to the journey.

Absolutely Tommy! He helped me buy my first guitar, a 69 Emmons, in 1972 and did a full rebuild on it last year. Great on guitars and great on friendship, too.

Another vote for Tommy Cass. He’s been working on my pedal steels since the mid-80s. He’s only an hour away from me, so that makes things easy.

I'll add my big, thumbs up for Tommy as well. A great craftsman and a great guy. Tommy had John Macy's '69 and my '69 at his shop at the same time last year. Interestingly, the guitars are just four serial #s apart. Pretty cool..!! The work Tommy did for my '69 D-10 Rosewood was perfect.

Tommy is the man! Super nice guy and his work is superb. Check out his work on my P/P refurb. Chris Ivey used to call this "The Street Rod" Smile
