Hey all

Here is a very nice performance of Vince Gill's "Go Rest High On That Mountain".

I met Jonathan a few years ago at a Country Music Weekend, when he was standing in for Sarah Jory.

I asked Jonathan if I might post a Tablature I had produced of his video here on the Forum. He said "of course you can"!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prku_ckEDeo

Anyone who leaves a comment here for Jonathan and wants a copy of the tab, leave your request here along with an email address to send it to.

I will leave the free offer open until 21st July 2024.

Kind regards and thanks to all who have written to me after I sent recent tabs to them, much appreciated.

J.R.

Like I said in the you tube comments, “Smooth, man. Really nice.”

I couldn’t do it that kind of justice, but I’d love to try. Thanks in advance.

Hello all,

I’m a big fan of Jonathan Milligan’s steel guitar playing. Because I didn’t have any tabs, I played „Go Rest High…“ by ear. To get same sound as possible, I bought a brand new MSA Legend SD-10 with aluminum neck.
Now I have a big problem. The overtones are missing and the high strings don’t sound clean on different frets. A resonance is created that produces a buzzing sound. Die 4th string has much more volume and sustain than the 3rd string. I’ve played on Sho-Bud and Charter, but none had this effect. I also have never experienced that a maple body not producing overtones and produces a muffled sound.
Does anyone know this problem? - I’m down, $6000 for nothing or what can help?
