Dale, do you daisy chain them together or run one cable to the 4 ohm jack & one to the 8ohm jack? Are you using 4 or 8 ohm speakers?

Can I Run Two Cabinets With My Head?

Absolutely! Our amps have two speaker outputs so you can build your own modular system.

Plug one into the "bottom" speaker jack and one into the top.

Note: On our amps, the "4 Ohm" jack has a special contact that increases the amplifier's output. This allows you to get additional headroom. It is advised to only plug in a single 4 ohm cabinet/speaker in this jack. Plugging a single 8 ohm cabinet/speaker into the 4 ohm jack will cause the output power to double and put strain on the amp. An 8 ohm cabinet/speaker should only be plugged into the 4 ohm jack if there is an additional 8 ohm cabinet/speaker in the 8 ohm jack.

SO, if you were going to run two 4 ohm speakers, you’d plug one in the 4 ohm jack & the other in the 8 ohm jack? Is that correct?

I believe that would present a 2 ohm load to the amp. The manual specifies 4, 8, or 16 ohms, no mention of 2 ohms (that I saw) therefore it might not be wise. At low output might be OK but at even medium volumes the amp *might* overheat and shut off.

I wrote Quilter about this a while ago, and here's their response:

"Hi Dave,

Running two 4 ohm cabinets into your Tone Block 202 would result in a 2 ohm load. The amp should be able to handle a 2 ohm load. But do note that in this case, if running the Master and Gain a bit high, the amp may begin clipping, which would sound like traditional solid state overdrive/distortion."

Hope this helps.
