What a great tune displaying The Sheriff's voice, phrasing, and versatility. Ben Keith featured on pedal steel.

Sure miss them.

I loved Faron's stuff, and must have played his songs hundreds of times. Here's a few of the ones I remember that we did quite regularly:

Step Aside

Occasional Wife
Sweet Dreams*
She Went A Little Bit Farther
Hello walls
Wine Me Up
I Miss You Already

*Faron had the hit on Sweet Dreams years before Patsy Cline. (He was the first to record it.) And here's a link to the song which features an early sample of Buddy Emmons playing his first pedal steel, a Bigsby:
