Hello fellow steel guitar enthusiasts,

I am excited to share this with all of you! I have just created a YouTube playlist featuring the backing tracks from Buddy Emmons' iconic Black album, with the steel guitar removed. This has never been available before (to my knowledge), and I believe it will be an excellent tool for those of us who want to play along with these legendary tracks.

The playlist includes all 10 tracks from the album, meticulously edited to remove the steel guitar, allowing you to step into the spotlight and play along. I hope this playlist will be a valuable addition to your practice and performance sessions.

You can find the playlist here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmnPXSVgamwObLQrDN_oXwfBd37UIb-Cy&si=YM63Zas1t86m3IiV

Happy playing, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and performances!

Jeremy Ball

This is very cool, Jeremy.

I have these and the isolated steel tracks uploaded as MP3's for anyone to download but first I'm making sure that this does not bend you out of shape. I see no reason it should but it's not my call, how you feel about it.

Tell me you are ok with it and I'll post a link.

Excellent! Now a great backing track is available for pulling my flatwound-equipped '65 Epi Granada out of the closet, plugging it into its '65 Epi Galaxy amp, dialing up the trem with a touch of 'verb, and playing a Duane Eddy-inspired version of Blue Jade!
