That is great. You can finally here the chops a lot better. I don't how you did that but I think it is really great.

I agree. You can really hear the little things he does that gets lost in the mix.
Thanks for doing this Jeremy!

Buddy's 10th string is missing! (It really shows on some of the cuts.) Probably inaudible because it's in the bass range, and the bass frequencies have been filtered out.
Other than that, it's cool. |

The Wes Montgomery style octave run in Night Life is simply stunning. I've never hear anyone else do that on steel guitar.
I ask him about it, he said he just muted the strings between the octave with his left thumb.
I saw Buddy play live many times any I never heard him play that again.
Maybe someone will post a video showing the details on how to play that.
I've tried, no cigar.
Is that a studio compressor or is his RH technique responsible for that pop he gets when he digs in?

This is great. I can really hear just how long E holds a note at the end of a phrase. The tendency is to be looking for the set up at the beginning of the next phrase and to cut short that last note of the prior phrase. Buddy does a masterful job of not prematurely jumping ahead, but instead, holding that note until the end. _________________ blah, blah, blah.

FYI - There are a few moments in the album where string 10, and harmonics is inaudible (the AI technology confuses it with bass guitar). Mainly in At E’s and Nightlife. I think the other songs turned out great..
I’m trying to fix these 2 songs by customizing the AI with a different method, writing traditional Machine Learning model code.. then I will train the model to separate the steel again.
I’m very happy that everyone has enjoyed this! |

That would be really cool! It's great that you know how to do all that with this new technology. What amazes most is that Buddy could get the C6th intonation that good back then, with no compensators And no overdubs. Some C6th chords are even hard for players today to nail (in good intonation). |
